Yoga, Meditation, and Coaching, each provide a distinct doorway through which to realize your inherent connection to Spirit, offering unique perspectives to connect with and express your True Nature. These profound practices ask you to participate fully in the inscrutable mystery of your existence in bold, exciting ways. These core disciplines will enrich and transform your awareness and dynamically shift the impact you have in the world.

Yoga: When you practice Hatha Yoga diligently and regularly you learn how to align with the highest within yourself, which is also the highest within all of Nature. You explore your Body-Mind-Spirit connection to its depths and gain overall strength, flexibilty, and balance. You learn how to become (and/or remain) pain-free using appropriate and effective therapeutic alignment principles.

The most sacred place of pilgrimage is this very breath you're taking now...I invite you to return here again and again.

Meditation: The Big Mind process is a dialogue meditation that empowers you to identify with and live from the unlimited Wisdom and Compassion that resides at the heart of your being. You can ease the stuck places and unhealthy patterns that keep you down while an exceedingly deeper understanding of your inner self spontaneously emerges and enriches your life.

Coaching: Transformational coaching celebrates the totality of your unique expression of Truth and your individual path to realizing it. Within a coaching relationship you will gain profound clarity and begin to transform your patterned responses to life's myriad circumstances. You will learn practical tools to consciously tap into your deepest desires and vision for yourself and clearly live the life you have always longed to live.

Currently, I maintain a private teaching and coaching practice in Manhattan as well as a weekly class at Abhaya Yoga. I’ve been teaching yoga, full time, since 2002.

In 2010, I completed Anusara teacher training with Ross Rayburn. I’ve also trained extensively in the therapeutic applications of the Universal Principles of Alignment with Ross Rayburn and most recently with Anusara founder, John Friend. The majority of my yoga career has been in Ashtanga yoga and I’ve completed teacher trainings with both Manju Pattabhi Jois and David Swenson.

In 2009, I received Shukke Tokudo, ordination as Zen priest and lay monk, from now retired Zen Master, Genpo Merzel. With Roshi’s retirement I have chosen to only carry his work, the Big Mind process, to my friends and students. As such, my role as Zen priest, as I see it, is not entirely dissimilar to that of a true friend.

I am also an ICF Certified Professional Coach.

In 1991, I suffered a broken neck, which in 1992, led me deeply into a practice of Meditation and Yoga. I attest to the efficacy and expedience of both to help heal my body and mind and to keep it strong and supple.

I’ve been blessed and humbled to study with many unique and talented teachers such as Richard Freeman, Chuck Miller, Maty Ezraty, and Douglas Keller, to name only a few. Also of note, Ken Wilber’s Integral Theory informs every aspect of my coaching and teaching as well as my life.
